Qualifications

  • The role will offer:

    • Training and experience as an Marketing & Social Media Assistant
    • Improving public and supporter engagement with local social media accounts
    • Develop social media content
    • Coordinate, schedule and manage social media activity across channels including: Twitter, Instagram and Facebook
    • Daily monitoring of our social media channels, responding to social queries and engaging in conversation, as required; sourcing and optimising images using Photoshop
    • Regular monitoring and reporting on the effectiveness of our social channels, delivering monthly reports on social media activity and engagement
    • Be part of an amazing diverse team of national and international volunteers
    • Be part of Oxfam, helping to overcome poverty and suffering
    • We need a computer literate person with good basic numeracy skills and abilities together with an understanding of the retail environment

      What we are looking for?

      Are you a talented blogger, tweeter or just crazy about the social media world, looking to volunteer your time to help enhance your CV or perhaps to give something back?Strong verbal communication skills including spelling, grammar, and punctuation, a good understanding of PRGood social media understanding and ability to interact with an audience in the various social spaces.Excellent organisational skillsCreativity and not shy in bringing ideas to the tableAbility to follow instructions, and have an eagle eye for detailExperience of using Google Analytics, Content Management Systems (CMS), CEOStrong understanding and knowledge of digital communication tools and good ability to implement similar to Hootsuite programsAble to work under your own initiativeThe successful candidate will need to have the ability to work under pressure, and to keep a cool, calm head!
