Job Description
In the heart of the Berkshire countryside nestles Farley Estate, centred around Farley Hall, a grade 1 house dating from 1729. Within its picturesque 1750 acres of mixed farmland, bordered on three sides by tributaries of the River Thames (the Whitewater, Blackwater and Loddon) are the estate's traditional working farm, a luxury livery facility, an M&S supplying Dairy Farm, a commercial partridge, pheasant and mixed bird shoot plus a range of residential and commercial properties to let.
There are many interesting individual Garden Areas within the grounds of Farley Hall, each with their own distinctive characteristics and seasonal interests.
Farley Estate is looking to recruit a Horticulture Apprentice to be trained in all aspects of maintaining the Estates varied garden areas which include a kitchen garden, walled garden, water garden & rockery areas.
You will be trained to use a variety of tools and machinery including:
- Lawn mowers
- Strimmers
- Hedge cutters
- Blowers
