Job Description

Due to continued expansion within our practice we are looking for a new trainee to start with us as soon as from 1 September.



The position would ideally suit a school leaver (post A’levels) with an interest in pursuing a career in accountancy and progressing through an apprenticeship route rather than going to university. Obviously we are open to hearing from career switchers and would also consider an applicant that already has some relevant experience and training. We would be looking for someone with an aptitude for numbers, good written and oral communication skills and excellent attention to detail.



Our offices are on the business park in Wingrave which means that staff need to be able to drive and have access to a car.



We are a friendly, highly trained and experienced team of 10 and the successful candidate will benefit from excellent on the job training to supplement their more formal studies. The role is varied and will include:-




  • VAT processing

  • Bookkeeping

  • Payroll

  • Preparing accounts for limited companies and sole traders

  • Preparing corporation tax returns

  • Preparing personal tax returns

  • Administrative responsibilities including phone cover, cover for the post and other duties.



We are not expecting a new trainee to do all of the above on day one. A development programme will be put in place and this is likely to start with VAT, Bookkeeping and accounts processing.
