Job Description

The successful Apprentice will be required to learn and progress to the setting up and running of automated folding and gluing equipment, laminators and guillotines.  The Apprentice will also learn a variety of paper handling and manual processing skills alongside techniques to operate modern post-press equipment, including but not limited to, folding, stitching, binding and cutting equipment.



The Apprentice will be fully supported to eventually become responsible for the effective running of all machines in the Production Department.  Other responsibilities will include monitoring stock levels, maintaining equipment, communicating any issues to the relevant shift manager, working with the production teams in order to meet delivery deadlines and liaising with the account management team to resolve any print finishing issues.



On a daily basis the Apprentice will be involved in printing jobs as per the schedule, checking stock levels and highlighting issues and will become an integral part of the team.

Future Prospects : On successful completion of Level 2 Apprenticeship then there will be progression onto the Level 3, Advanced Apprenticeship.
