Job Description
14 hours per week over 4 days (3.5 hours per day) | £8.50 per hour
6 months fixed term contract | Based in Edinburgh City Centre
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone at the start of their career to build experience in graphic design and website management.
The Social Enterprise Academy (SEA) provides learning and development opportunities around the world through a network of partner organisations that operate local SEA ‘Hubs’. We also have two Hubs in Scotland in Inverness and Edinburgh.
The Marketing & Communications team provides responsive design and marketing services to all of our Hubs to ensure that they are able to build the brand locally and maintain high quality customer experiences.
We work a bit like an internal ‘marketing agency’, providing graphic design, document formatting, website management, digital marketing planning and delivery, IT services, and quite a few other things!
Your role will be to deliver the day-to-day graphic design, document formatting and website maintenance required by Hubs to promote and deliver their programmes.
You’ll receive job briefs from Hubs as far away as Australia and will need to use our brand guidance and in-house style to deliver promotional leaflets, learning materials and website event pages. You’ll need to do this quickly, to a high standard and be able to interpret and action feedback promptly.
You’ll be joining an innovative, values-driven social enterprise and be working alongside a fun, diligent and creative team who will provide lots of support and guidance along the way. You’ll experience a fast-paced and interesting environment where enjoying work is as important as getting the job done.
If you have good experience of using Adobe Creative Suite, in particular InDesign, an excellent eye for design and attention to detail, and are interested in using your skills for a social purpose then we’d love to hear from you.
We are keen to recruit someone with a good value fit and great work ethic, if you don’t meet all the criteria but feel you could make a great contribution to this role we would still encourage you to apply.
