Job Description
This role is for an apprentice chef and the duties include:
- Food preparation
- Sourcing fresh, local ingredients
- Cooking fresh food to order
- Keeping preparation area clean and tidy
- Checking temperatures of fridges & freezers daily
- Keeping fridges tidy
- Assisting head chef
- Plating food in an attractive manner
- Complying with health and safety regulations
- Working as part of a team.
Personal Qualities :
Positive attitude, motivated & enthusiastic. Willing to learn. Reliable. Passionate about food and providing top class dishes and customer service.
Skills Required :
Team player skills essential. Good communication skills. Ability to demonstrate passion about cooking a variety of dishes.
Driving and access to a car would be preferable as it is a rural location.
Future Prospects : There may be a permanent position on successful completion of the apprenticeship
