Job Description
Duties include:
- To assist in the preparation of class sets of apparatus for all year groups as requested by Science Department teaching staff and to liaise directly with the Laboratory Technicians on the preparation of such practical requisitions;
- To carry out the preparation of solutions, biological media and electrical circuits;
- To assist in the maintaining of appropriate Health and Safety standards in all laboratories;
- To assist in the maintenance of computerised stock control records for departmental resources;
- To assist in carrying out the routine maintenance of all forms of apparatus;
- To carry out the preparation and production of resources throughout the Science Department;
- To assist in the ordering of apparatus and stock taking as requested.
- To undertake other duties from time to time as reasonably requested by the Principal, Curriculum Leader: Science or Senior Laboratory Technician

- An ability to follow instructions carefully
- Effective communication skills and excellent written and verbal English
Future Prospects : Upon successful completion of the Apprenticeship there maybe opportunities for further training or to move into a permanent role.
