Due to our continued growth we have an opening for a trainee accountant to join our team on an apprenticeship programme.
Training & Development:
The apprenticeship programme will involve studying for the AAT qualification at a professional training college.
Scullard are also an approved training employer of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England & Wales so there is the opportunity to train as a Chartered Accountant after completing the apprenticeship.
We are fully committed to helping you develop as an accountant and as an individual and so will provide full study support for the AAT qualification.
The Role:
The role will report into the Managing Director who will also oversee your internal training and development. You will therefore be working closely with, and supervised by, a Fellow of the ICAEW with a number of years’ experience. You will be responsible for dealing with a varied range of tasks and a varied portfolio of small business and private clients.
Responsibilities will include:
- Preparing monthly/quarterly management accounts
- Preparation of VAT returns
- Preparation of year end final accounts
- Preparation of year end Corporation Tax returns
- Preparation of personal tax returns
- Dealing with routine queries from clients
- Various administrative tasks
As there is full study support with this role there will be a formal day release policy for college attendance.
