Job Description

As an apprentice, you must have a hard working attitute. Your role will vary and will include the following:




  • Checking orders as they come in daily

  • Meeting and greeting customers, dealing with queries as they come up

  • Learning the names of products and medications as they come in

  • Rotating stock on the floor, ensuring that no items are left out of date

  • Sorting deliveries as they come in, unpacking boxes, disposing of them on a daily basis

  • Keeping the pharmacy tidy at all times

  • Collecting prescriptions from patients and passing it on to the pharmacist

  • Bagging the prescriptions and giving the patients when it’s ready

  • You must have a hard working attitude otherwise you will not progress within this apprenticeship.

  • You need to be able to use your initiative and don’t be afraid to ask questions whenever you are unsure of anything, as it gets quite busy in store.


Personal Qualities :

  • A hard worker

  • Willing to take instructions

  • Be vocal, don’t be afraid to ask for help when you feel it’s needed.



Skills Required :

  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, orally and in writing with a wide range of people

  • Good communication skills is essential

  • Good listening skills



Future Prospects : Potential opportunity of a permanent contract for the successful apprentice who completes the programme.
