Job Description

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an Apprentice Administrator to work within a large Doctors Surgery in Trowbridge. Adcroft Surgery offers a friendly, efficient and professional service to all the family.



This position is linked to an Intermediate Business and Administration Apprenticeship and you will have the opportunity to progress onto the Advanced Apprenticeship on completion.



High quality services are delivered by a broad range of practice team members.



MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES




  • Main duties are to be the Scanning of all relevant documents to the patients’ notes.

  • Note summarising of patients notes, keeping to deadlines set by the CCG.

  • Retrieve and re-file records as required, ensuring strict alphabetical order is adhered to.

  • Ensure correspondence, reports, results etc. are filed promptly and in the correct records, ensuring that all recent correspondence is available when patients are seen.

  • Ensure records are kept in good repair with all necessary information on the outside cover clearly visible.

  • Make and serve refreshments, ensure the kitchen is kept clean and tidy and air and tidy the waiting room in turn with other staff when appropriate.

  • Ensure that all new patients are registered onto the computer system promptly and accurately.

  • Undertake any other additional duties appropriate to the post as requested by the Partners or the Practice Manager.



Patient confidentiality must be maintained at all times.



You are requested to be flexible and the employers reserve the right to alter such fixed hours as may be considered necessary to ensure the Medical Centre runs smoothly.
