Job Description

Athene Communications is looking to recruit a talented and enthusiastic Business Administration Apprentice.



This is an ideal opportunity for a student that is looking to pursue a career within an office or wishing to progress into marketing and public relations.



The role will be based at Athene Communications’ Peterborough office and the apprentice will gain a wide range of experience in the communications and PR industry. The successful apprentice will also work towards a Diploma in Business & Administration provided by City College Peterborough.



The role is, therefore, ideal for a sixth form leaver who has very good levels of English, good organisational skills, attention to detail, has a confident manner and can manage their time and would like to gain paid experience and work towards a qualification in the industry straight after sixth form rather than going to university. 



One-to-one training will be provided and Athene Communications’ team is very supportive and approachable, and understands how important it is to provide a comfortable working environment that allows development and learning to take place.



The apprentice business administrator role will report to the Community Engagement team that are based at the Peterborough office, including the Director of Community Engagement, Account Manager and Strategic Research Manager. We also use freelancers to assist when workload dictates.



The key responsibilities for this role include:




  • Administrative support to the community engagement team,  including; stakeholder research, creation of databases, mail merges, meeting minutes, inputting of data into a stakeholder management system, answering the phone, diary management and putting together presentations.
