Job Description
Preparatory work including:
- Drafting and enveloping letters that will be sent out to clients, solicitors, and other parties which we are in correspondence with.
- Gathering relevant documents from our files which are necessary to progress individual case matters.
- Typing out written court notes that have been made by caseworkers, in order to have a record of them.
- Copying documents.
- Scanning documents.
- Faxing documents.
Research / Casework Assistance including:
- Searching the Internet and finding the most recent updates to changes in the law and processes for applications, appeals, and similar.
- Finding past case files that are relevant to those that are currently being undertaken by our caseworkers for reference sake.
- Attending courts with Counsels/solicitors to take notes of hearing.
- Case management and file management with caseworkers.
Perusal work including:
- Finding relevant documents within files.
- -Assembling documents for court bundles.
General admin work including:
- Registering post that we send in and out.
- Helping the office run through answering phone calls.
- Ensuring that relevant messages are passed on to our caseworkers.
- Organising appointments.
- Answering the door to clients.
- Making trips to the post office to local shops and bank to service our office.
- Assisting the Principal in the general functions under her roles.
- Attending to matters ensuring compliance with regulatory and contractual obligations of the office.
