Administrative Assistant Apprenticeship (fixed-term 12 months).
Salary grade: £135.00/wk
35 hours per week, 5 days a week includes 1 day of free training.
Reporting to: Vocational Team Administrator
Purpose of job: The successful candidate will be a key member of Youth Provision, reporting to the Head of Vocational Training. The post will support tutors in the Youth Provision team across a variety of courses. Key responsibilities include supporting admissions to courses, tracking student applications and course documentation, dealing with a wide range of general enquiries from students as well as providing integral administrative support to a team of tutors and assisting with quality tasks.
- Data entry
- Data validation – error checking and correcting
- Photocopying and scanning to support business needs
- Filing and archiving
- Answering and making phone-calls
- Supporting reception
- Providing administrative support to teachers off site if required
- Any other reasonable duties as may be required from time to time

Qualifications & Experience: None required
Skills & Abilities & Knowledge:
You may have some relevant administrative experience and will be able to demonstrate commitment to a high standard of customer service and hold well-developed verbal and written communication skills. You will have excellent organisational and numeracy skills, with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail and an ability to analyse problems and identify potential solutions.
A strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including experience of working with databases is desirable

- Ability to train on an appropriate Apprentice programme, particularly Business Administration NVQ
- Proven verbal/written communication skills
