Job Description

Operating from the UK and Offshore, Global Payments is made up of 6 business units which together support the specific demands of the business. Global Transaction Compliance (GTC) provides a high quality, large scale, compliance processing shared service for customer owning business units in Lloyds Banking Group and third parties. Using subject matter expertise that comes with this function, we play an active leadership role in the Groups Financial Crime Strategy development and delivery. We are also responsible for ensuring that the Bank remains compliant with Group Policy and legal requirements relevant to Financial and Trade Sanctions and Anti Money Laundering requirements, whilst making every effort to meet its legal and social responsibilities for Fighting Financial CrimeAs a Sanctions Investigator you will ensure Lloyds Banking Group is in full compliance with Group Policy on Sanctions and related prohibitions and restrictions. Using your expert attention to detail you will investigate referrals received where it is suspected that the requested payment instructions may contravene Policy and as your knowledge grows provide a recommendation for the payment request.Your strong analytical skills will be paramount to assess whether the instruction is compliant with Sanctions Policy. When necessary you will provide your recommendation, supported by robust evidence and a documented rationale for sign off. As your knowledge and experience grows you will offer, support and drive improvement suggestions to our processes and procedures.Right from the start, we'll give you full training and all the support you need with classroom training and support from your buddy whilst you learn. During this time you will be given all the coaching and development you need to ensure competency. We will help you to obtain a full understanding of our operational policies and procedures. We will also assist in the development of your knowledge of regulatory practices and constraints plus a risk awareness to ensure risk issues and opportunities are recognised and reported. You don't need previous experience of finance or banking however a good knowledge of ??? would be an advantage. We are open to discussions around flexible working however you would be required to work until 6pm on each working day.
