Whipsnade Zoo are currently recruiting for an experienced, energetic, professional Restaurant Supervisor for our newly refurbished table service restaurant which will be opening in December.
As a member of the catering team you will need to see the world through our customer’s eyes. You will provide a safe, friendly environment for all of our customers whilst delivering an efficient and energetic service. You will be the face of the company and the first point of contact for our guests.

As Restaurant Supervisor you will be responsible for:
• Assist in smooth operations of the restaurant
• Ensuring all guests expectations are exceeded
• Assist with managing costs including labour, stock and wastage – Full training given to help develop you for your next step.
• Helping to drive sales by motivating and encouraging the team
• Actively being involved in recruitment and employee performance reviews
• Bringing ideas and inspiration to the ways of working within the restaurant
Working hours – 40hrs per week over 5 days including weekends subject to the demands of the business
Reporting directly to the Restaurant Manager
Skills you will gain – Full training, cost controls, understanding profit and loss, labour control, Food safety, menu planning and sales analysis. We have access to infinite online training programmes which can be accessed to develop you for your step into management.
Qualifications
- Requirements • Applicants must be energetic and enthusiastic. • Previous expriance is required within a restaurant environment although training can be given to get you to the right level • Due to our remote location, own transport isn't necessary but would be an advantage
