Job Description

Task include:




  • To work alongside all colleagues to assist in delivering planned and cyclical improvements to properties

  • Assist with painting and decorating to a high quality finish

  • Carry out duties under the supervision of the Cyclical works operative to ensure all properties meet the required specifications, in an agreed time frame to maximise resident satisfaction and contribute to business performance and financial strength

  • Participating in new initiatives

  • Responding promptly to customer complaints and being proactive in dealing with service failure

  • To ensure assisting in appropriate upkeep of assets, vehicles and equipment

  • Work within, and ensure the implementation of policies and procedures

  • Demonstrate an understanding and commitment to customer care

  • To enjoy and encourage a strong team with the aim of maintaining a positive, welcoming and energised working environment 

  • Regularly undertake training to develop and refresh knowledge and skills

  • Carry out additional duties as requested

  • Adhering to health and safety systems, procedures and legislations by following approved safe systems of working

  • Ensuring a good standard of housekeeping are maintained within their area of responsibility

  • Seeking advice and guidance on any matters relating to health, safety or welfare which are outside their scope or authority or expertise


Personal Qualities :

  • Very good/fluent verbal English and written English (support with this if needed)

  • Good communication skills

  • Good time management and organisational skills

  • Basic numeracy and literacy skills ( however support in if required)

  • Basic IT skills

  • Ability to organise and plan ahead

  • Ability to work as part of a team



Skills Required :

  • Basic Health and Safety knowledge

  • Experience of using mobile working devices



Future Prospects : Upon successful completion of this traineeship you will be enrolled onto a Level 2 Property Maintenance apprenticeship. Should you not successfully complete the traineeship period for any reason then an exit interview will take place and a full reference will be provided to enable you to progress onto new opportunities with our help.
