Job Description

The vacancy is an opportunity for someone who is interested in pursuing a career in Engineering. If successful, the apprentice will be based at their employer working the hours agreed in their contract. The apprentice will need to attend Training 2000 to complete the relevant skill units that have been agreed by Training 2000 and the employer, this will consist of the apprentice completing 3 blocks of skill specific Engineering training lasting 4 weeks each. As well as this they will also begin their Further Education course, BTEC Diploma, City and Guilds, which will be 1 day a week classroom based learning.



Basic engineering drawing, measuring and marking out and handling of engineering information, fitting using hand skills, machining engineering materials, using CAD, Computer Aided Design,  CAM, Computer Aided Manufacture, equipment on up to date industry standard CNC machinery.



The suitable applicant will work as part of a team to ensure print orders are processed and completed on time.



You will assist a busy schedule of orders.



You will be required to lift and pack items ready for despatch.
