- Work towards your level 4 apprenticeship.

As a software developer your duties will include:
- Reviewing current systems.
- Presenting ideas for system improvements, including cost proposals.
- Working closely with analysts, designers and staff.
- Producing detailed specifications and writing the program codes.
- Testing the product in controlled, real situations before going live.
- Preparation of training manuals for users.
- Maintaining the systems once they are up and running.

As part of this exciting opportunity your role will be assessing code, going through a process of validating and verifying that a software program or application or product meets the business and technical requirements that guided it's design and development.

Future Prospects : Once you’ve completed the programme, there are a number of progression routes which could lead to a degree in IT.
On completing the programme, you will be registered with the IT Technicians confirming SFIA level 3 professional competence.
