We have 5 IT Graduate placement opportunities across Software Development, Web Systems Administration, Web Analytics and Mobile Innovation.

We don t expect you to be an expert, but a fundamental understanding of how things work is important. We are looking for inquisitive attitude and evidence of self motivation to build on your knowledge and develop your skills. Most importantly we are looking for individuals passionate about technology and keen to develop our systems to support how we deliver great online customer experience

You ll receive a high standard of technical training across relevant technologies and systems as well as agile methodologies, scrums and cloud technology as well as regular opportunities to grow and develop your professional and team working skills. You ll be rewarded both professionally and financially as you hit key milestones in your development.

As an IT Graduate you will be responsible for



Software Development Our teams use a variety of tech including Java 8, JavaScript, Bootstrap, JQuery, the full Spring stack including MVC, Security, Integration and WS along with Hybris, SpringBoot and gradle. Led by a Technical Architect, our Software Developers manage the smooth running of the systems at our fulfilment centre and contact centre. They are also involved in the integration of cutting edge technology into our Financial Services division, so your work will not only impact and improve the experience of our customers, but our colleagues too
Web Systems Admin Our teams use a variety of tech including UNIX, Oracle DB, scripting languages e.g. Perl, Apache Tomcat, Hybris, WebSphere, DB2, IBM z OS. The team support, maintain and deploy Java code builds for our 20 fashion and homeware high traffic websites. We also assist in key business projects, innovation of digital solutions and development of the new US contact centre application. The team also support the internal web systems used to load new content onto the websites along with aiding other areas of the business so your work will not only impact and improve the experience of our customers, but our colleagues too
Web Analytics The successful candidate will report to the IT Web Analytics Project Manager and will receive full training in the current suite of Web Analytics tools used by the company. Web Analytics are used to help us understand how our customers interact with our websites and the products that are sold on them. The team works alongside both the Business Intelligence Management Information, Data Warehouse Web Development teams to assist in the build and development of the required infrastructure. The team also has close working relationships with other business areas
Mobile Innovation You ll use your technical skills in Java, JavaScript and C to develop cutting edge solutions to benefit our colleagues and customers. You ll use your problem solving skills to support business facing projects to ensure solutions meet business needs. You ll be coordinating and leading exciting investigations as well as designing and implementing business applications, produce system and user documentation, test, debug and document software to help produce minimum viable products for further scaling.

An ideal candidate for the position of IT Graduate will have

Specialist knowledge in one of the above areas of IT.
Ideal candidates will have a University Degree in Computer Science or similar or some technical training on the relevant systems listed above. We are interested in speaking to true technology enthusiasts no matter how you got there
We are looking for individuals keen to get stuck in and want to learn, you will be supporting the team with daily tasks whilst completing additional training, so you must be able to prioritise and self motivate
You will be able to demonstrate true passion for IT and highlight how you have been able to implement theory into practice.
You will be aware of top technologies in the market and how these may support ecommerce growth for N Brown Group

In return, the IT Graduate will receive a salary of 20k 25k an excellent benefits package.
