Job Description
KEY REPONSIBILITIES
• To report promptly for duty, collect your worksheet and key and undertake duties requested by your team leader
• To ensure grooming standards are followed at all times
• To record all dirty/reject linen off your section accurately
• Ensure all keys taken are signed in and out on a daily basis to ensure security of all keys.
• To report and safeguard all lost property ensuring it is all handed in and logged daily.
• To collect cleaning materials and use as instructed
• Clean Bedrooms:
a) Open windows, remove rubbish
b) Strip beds and re-make
c) Wash glasses and crockery and re-plenish tea-trays
d) Dust and polish all fixtures and fittings
e) Vacuum
f) Replenish stationery
• Clean Bathrooms:
a) Remove dirty towels and rubbish
b) Brush and clean toilet
c) Wash bath and tiles
d) Wash sink and surround
e) Clean and polish all mirrors and chrome
f) Re-plenish all towels, toiletries and paper products
g) Wash the floor
• Pack the trolley you used at the end of the day
• Ensure the vacuum cleaner are emptied and cleaned regularly and any problems reported to your team leader or maintenance
• Clean your service area
• Clean and hoover your section of the corridor
• To respect all DND rooms. Any signs still up at 12noon report to your team leader
• To ensure all room service trays are removed from bedrooms and corridors and taken to designated areas
• To ensure all tasks allocated to you are completed and your list is signed at the end of the day by your team leader
• To report any maintenance to your team leader
• To report any smoking / sick rooms to your team leader
• To report any departure rooms with luggage still in to your supervisor
• To be pleasant and willing to help the customer and other members of staff at all times
• To ensure all daily duties are completed
• To deliver a high level of guest care at all times
• To attend all housekeeping meetings
• To work flexible hours and days in accordance with the hotel business and staff shortages.
OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES
• To carry out other duties that may be necessary from time to time
• To be aware of and comply with statutory requirements regarding the work place such as health and safety, hygiene, fire prevention and employment law.
• Ensure that correct security measures are taken at all times
