Job Description
Providing support to Reception as and when required:
- Answer the main telephone (you will be first point of contact)
- Meet & greet clients – offer drinks
- Monitor meeting rooms throughout the day
- Check everyone’s diaries and allocate appointments to meeting rooms
- Open and distribute post
- Scan post with important / client information. Date stamp accordingly and file.
- If personal tax returns or company / sole trader accounts come in post, update system accordingly
- Enter cheques onto cash diary spreadsheet and Sage, walk to bank
- Forward on post to clients
- Outgoing post at 2:15pm. Use franking machine to add postage
- Import sales invoices from Iris onto Sage
- Keep reception tidy at all times. Refill biscuits/sweets/water cooler as required
- At the end of the day when leaving, ensure fan heaters and lights are switched off
- Using credit card machine to take payments when required

- Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel

Future Prospects : Progression to office administrator or receptionist available for candidate upon satisfactory completion of the apprenticeship.
