Job Description
Two units are mandatory, these being:
- Unit 303 Negotiate in a business environment
- Unit and 340 Procure products and/or services
The procurement team are responsible for obtaining value for money in the procurement (purchase) of goods works and services for the College and its subsidiaries.
- Answering the telephone, taking messages
- Inputting data
- Comparing pricing for goods, works and services
- Using the Colleges finance software to obtain information
- Ensuring accuracy of data and maintaining accurate records
- Liaising with internal customers and external suppliers
- General office duties
Personal Qualities :
You will be reliable, have a friendly nature and a willingness to learn.
Skills Required :
You will be organised, competent with Microsoft word and Excel, and have attention to detail and be able to produce accurate work.
Future Prospects : The successful candidate will receive training to enable them to progress to a career in procurement or business administration.
Future prospects will depend on the business need at the time of completion of qualification.
