Surf Resort Set To Create 100 New Full & Part Time Jobs In Edinburgh

Lost Shore has announced that their upcoming surf resort attraction will create 100 new full or part time jobs in Edinburgh.

The state of the art wave pool venue, due to open in September, will be the biggest in Europe and will create dozens of jobs in the Scottish capital.

Lost Shore will be located close to Edinburgh Airport and can be reached from the city centre by car in under 30 minutes. It is also expected to attract many visitors from Glasgow too, being just three quarters of an hour away by car.

As well as the wave pool, Lost Shore will also feature accommodation, shops and restaurants.

Roles on offer include lifeguards, surf instructors, food and drink team members, marketing staff, kitchen porters, visitor experience team members, retail staff, housekeeping, therapists, landscapers, maintenance teams and security staff.

Lifeguards and surf instructors can earn upwards of £12 an hour at the Lost Shore Surf Resort and some roles are set to be filled well in advance of the launch date in order to get staff trained and familiar with the setup of the venue.

Launching the recruitment drive at the attraction, Lost Shore Surf Resort’s Chief Executive, Andy Roger, said: “Lost Shore Surf Resort is going to make a huge splash when we open in September. Being a Living Wage Employer we are committed to building a fantastic team to help us deliver our vision for Lost Shore Surf Resort.

“The opening of any new business is an exciting moment. The build up to the first day is part of that journey with the new team learning about the resort and becoming well placed to deliver for our visitors from the day we open.”

“We have a number of dream roles for those who love surfing, but you don’t have to surf to work for us. We have lots of different roles available and we are looking for passionate and motivated individuals who will be excited to be part of one of the most unique openings anywhere in the world this year and thrive in a diverse and inclusive work environment. If you think that is you then please get in touch,” added Mr Roger.

If you are interested in any of the roles on offer at Lost Shore Surf Resort then don’t wait until September to get your application in. As we said earlier, many of the vacancies are set to be filled weeks or even months before the venue opens. You can find out more about all of the vacancies on the attraction’s careers website.
