SRK Consulting (UK) Ltd is a leading international operation with the UK headquarters based in the vibrant capital of Wales. We offer a variety of interesting and challenging projects, many of our projects are of an international nature and utilize SRK’s international consulting network.

SRK Consulting (UK) Ltd has opportunities for paid summer internships across its business units as follows:

• Environmental, Social and Governance
• Hydrogeology, Hydrology & Water Engineering
• Environmental Science & Engineering
• Geochemistry
• Geotechnical

Placements normally run for a period of between 6 to 8 weeks. Successful candidates will receive hands-on and practical training whilst working alongside our experienced professionals. This is a unique learning experience providing exposure to the consulting environment and an opportunity to work alongside experienced engineers and scientists on a diverse range of interesting and challenging projects within the global mining industry.

As a guide, you may have the opportunity to:

• Work in multi-disciplinary teams on a range of projects that are based in the UK and overseas
• Work on defined tasks under the supervision of a senior consultant

Essential requirements of the post include:

• Working towards bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Earth Sciences, Environmental Sciences, Geotechnical Engineering, Engineering Geology or a related discipline
• Interest in working in global mining consulting

This experience may lead to a permanent role within SRK following graduation and opportunities with other disciplines such as Geology, Tailings and Mining may be available on a case-by-case basis.
