Exeter City FC is thrilled to offer two full-time positions for Performance Analysts to join our esteemed team. Role Overview: As a Performance Analyst, you will have the unique opportunity to bridge the gap between theory and practice by working directly with our elite football players. Guidance and Support: You will be provided with a comprehensive performance analysis program and expert guidance from the Head of Academy Sport Science and Medicine, as well as the First Team Performance Analyst. This ensures that you have the necessary tools and mentorship to excel in your role.

Specific Responsibilities:

Academy Performance Analyst (x1): Join our team in supporting the development of Exeter City FC’s young talents (aged 8-18). As part of a multi-disciplinary squad, you will play a pivotal role in nurturing players for our First Team and beyond. Professional Development Phase Performance Analyst (x1): Assist in providing critical support to our players aged 18-21, helping them transition to the highest levels of professional football. You will also collaborate with the first team analyst team to ensure seamless support for our senior players.

Key Responsibilities The core duties and responsibilities of this role are:

Film/organise filming of all PDP and Academy fixtures. Manage BePro and Veo cloud drives Maintain filming equipment. Provide a ‘Player Friendly’ version of all stat sheets for parents and players to view. Update ‘Summary of Analysis’ sheet to track and monitor stats and filming. Produce video highlights of all home games as requested by coaches for them to use during classroom sessions. Organise receiving of away game footage when possible. Manage U16’s individual analysis. Code all U18’s fixtures to provide stats and video clips. Update stat and video databases Create highlight reels for released players.

Person requirements: (E) = Essential or (D) = Desirable

Enhanced FA CRB check (E) – can be applied for through ECFC. Child Protection Workshop (E) – can be applied for through ECFC. Enrolled on a sports science/coaching based degree/module at university and are looking for a full-time work placement (E). An interest in working with young people (E). An interest in football (D). Experience in providing match analysis support to athletes (D). A desire to work as a Match/Performance Analyst after graduating (D).

Duration and preferred placement dates: Start date – successful applicant will start week beginning Monday 1st July 2024. End date – Friday 3rd May 2025 Other information:

A stipend of £8000, paid over 10 months. ECFC Academy kit will be provided. Tickets for first team games. Support to attend available external CPD opportunities. Excellent opportunity to gain practical experience during university, and a potential reference within a professional football academy. Possibility to progress through the ECFC Academy staffing pyramid, which has been done by a number of work placement students.
